Jaguar Largest of the New World cats. Ranging from the Southwest United States to South central Argentina. There yellow fur is marked with black rosettes surrounding a central spot. In some litters black jaguars occur. The the jaguar has a large head and heavier build; males reach between six to 7 ft. in body length. It preys on other animals.
